Giving Back: Pre-order donation campaign
With the current unrest going on in the world we’ve decided that we will be giving back and launching a Wunderstar donation campaign. Throughout the weeks of June we will be showing our support of Black lives, Homeless LGBTQ youth, and children with Autism. Each week we will be donating 10 percent of proceeds from our pre-order sales to a different organization. When our book launches at the end of the month (June 27) we will be donating some of our books to The National Center for Children and Families.
June 8 – June 14 2020
Supporting racial equality
At Wunderstar Kids we stand against racism. To honor all of the black lives lost at the hands of racism and police brutality, we are donating to the NAACP Legal Defense and Educational Fund. To further our contributions, 10 percent of the proceeds from every pre-order we receive the week of June 8 – June 14 will also be donated to the NAACP to help facilitate change in our country.

Supporting homeless LGBTQ+ youth
To honor Pride month, we will be donating to True Colors United. In addition, for every pre-order we receive the week of June 15 – June 21, we will donate 10 percent of the proceeds to True Colors United.
Did you know LGBTQ+ young people are 120% more likely to experience homelessness than non-LGBTQ+ youth? True Colors United is committed to closing that gap. They collaborate with communities and service providers to ensure LGBTQ+ youth experiencing homelessness have access to the inclusive and affirming services they need. We think they are a fantastic organization and we are thrilled to be helping them out this week in honor of pride month. We encourage you to be Wunderstar too and look for ways that you can also support the LGBTQ+ community.

Supporting children with Autism
Did you know that according to the CDC, 1 out of every 59 children under the age 18 in the U.S. have some form of Autism? To bring awareness to the prevalence of Autism we will be donating to Paws with a Cause. To further our contributions, 10 percent of the proceeds from every pre-order we receive the week of June 22 – June 26 will also be donated to Paws with a Cause.
Paws with a Cause provides Service Dogs for Children with Autism. Service dogs act as calming companions to children with autism to help them improve social interactions and relationships, expand verbal and nonverbal communication, teach life skills, and decrease stressful situations.
